We are so excited to introduce you all to our January 2020 Volunteer of the Month: Carl Abramson!
Carl has been a part of the Visitor Education team since June 2016. Donating over 900 hours of his time and talent to the aquarium, Carl is nothing short of a superstar volunteer. Whether he is roving with a biofact, training new volunteers, or just saying a kind word to fellow volunteers, Carl brings a positive attitude to all that he does. We are so proud to have volunteers like Carl who have been such an integral part of the Classic Corps.
Carl’s supervisor, Lindsay Jordan, says:
I could not live without my volunteer Carl! He is a quick learner, easy going, and incredibly reliable. Carl does everything with a smile on his face, and everyone loves working with him. In the mornings when I am busy, if Carl sees a new face in the volunteer lounge he makes it a point to introduce himself, welcome them, and introduce the other people in the room (that’s the HR guy in him). He can always spot when someone looks confused, and always offers his help. Carl also goes above and beyond his regular volunteer commitment to come in and support extra events like our sensory inclusive mornings. Carl is a huge help, a wonderful person, and I am lucky to have him on my team.
Thank you, Carl, for all of your hard work!
