December Volunteer of the Month: Sharon Tassel

Happy New Year and congratulations to our December Volunteer of the Month: Sharon Tassel!

Sharon has been a Giant Ocean Tank Assistant Dive Volunteer since April 2019. Donating over 300 hours of her time to the aquarium, Sharon has made a huge difference for the Giant Ocean Tank Team. It is thanks to volunteers like Sharon with her exceptional work ethic and positive attitude that New England Aquarium is such an awesome place to be!

Sharon’s supervisor, Chris Bauernfeind, writes:

Sharon is exceptional at taking charge of all the daily tasks on Tuesdays. It’s a day of heavy calendars for staff, and having a volunteer that will complete everything without much – if any – guidance is a huge huge help. Sharon is a task master, and she’s only been volunteering with us for 9 months. She dominates the 4th floor, has an exceptionally good attitude, and is eager to learn more and more . . . Sharon is well deserving of the volunteer of the month title.

Thank you, Sharon, for all of your hard work, and thank you to all of our supervisors for nominating volunteers!
