Our Rescue and Rehabilitation team would not be the same without our volunteers, and it’s folks like Denise Morgan who make a huge difference. For nearly four years, Denise has given over 1,400 hours of her time to the New England Aquarium. The knowledge and skills she’s gained has made her invaluable to the training of new volunteers and interns, and it’s also made her an incredible addition to the Rescue/Rehab team. After encountering thousands of turtles in need, Denise has not stopped being a beacon for goodness at the aquarium. Denise’s supervisor, Linda, wrote:
“I would like to nominate Denise Morgan for volunteer of the month. The Rescue Team would not be the same without her because Denise keeps the team on track and always knows how to make us smile. Denise has been on the Rescue Team for almost four years. During her time with us, she has become an important member of the team. Not only does Denise accomplish all daily tasks with vigor, she also takes the time to train new volunteer and interns. Denise is also known for helping the Rescue Department out in a pinch, whether it is coming in to help with large whale necropsies, assisting on her days off with hundreds of sick sea turtles, or keeping the team well-nourished with some yummy goodies, Denise’s quick wit and positive attitude are what make her an integral part of our team.”
Thank you, Denise, for all of your hard work!
