August 2019 Volunteer of the Month – Katie Lynch

Marine Mammals is never just a day full of mooning over Harbor Seals; no, it’s a lot of elbow grease and putting your nose to the grindstone. Perhaps no volunteer knows this better than Katie Lynch. For two years, Katie has dedicated her time to Marine Mammals to make their environment as streamlined and efficient as can be. Whether she’s chopping/cutting/gutting fish or using a squeegee on the exhibit, Katie is working hard for her time with Marine Mammals. Her supervisor, Terra, writes:

“Without my volunteer we would never survive the day! From bucketing fish to cleaning exhibits, she takes every task thrown at her with a positive attitude. She truly is a hard worker and puts 150% in to her day. We rely on her to train new volunteers and interns and always know she will do an amazing job.”

Congratulations, Katie, on getting Volunteer of the Month!
