Congratulations to our May 2017 Volunteer of the Month: Cleo Falvey!
During the busy summer season the New England Aquarium relies heavily on it’s Visitor Education volunteers to help provide the best experience for our visitors. These volunteers on the front lines are often the ones who engage most with our visitors, helping to educate and inspire them. Volunteers in this department spend many hours reviewing, studying, and designing presentations and interactive activities and must pass evaluation to become certified on different activities. Cleo Falvey not only provides an exceptional education experience for our visitors but has also set her sights on breaking an aquarium record!
Here’s what her supervisor Guenaelle had to say about her service:
“Cleo is exceptional at motivating herself to learn a new presentation and cart activities as well as having an unwavering passion and dedication to her Visitor Education volunteer position. Cleo told me she’d like to beat Susie Buttrick at being the longest running volunteer! I fully believe she will achieve this one day. She has worked very hard these last few months towards achieving her Cane Toad certification, and she passed with flying colors. Congratulations, Cleo!”
Congratulations once again to Cleo Falvey on her service and commitment to our mission of “protecting the blue planet.”
